The Open Call Process

This year we ran an open call process to select a wide variety of creatives to take part in our ‘Festival Weekend’ on the 18th and 19th of May 2024. The open call ran from Wednesday 3rd January to Friday 9th February.

We offered three categories to help ensure a diverse range of mediums and activities over the festival weekend:

  • Artists, makers and designers. The ‘Festival Weekend’ is a brilliant opportunity to showcase your work irrespective of medium in a range of venues across the event. The primary focus of this category is showing your work and selling of work is encouraged.

  • Maker’s market. If your primary interest in taking part in the Lady Bay Arts ‘Festival Weekend’ is to sell small scale works, then the maker’s market is the most appropriate category. We will be including several markets across Lady Bay.

  • Workshops and activities. We want to deliver a broad range of activities for visitors to the festival weekend, if you would like to deliver a specific activity then we ask you to complete the form so that we can be in contact once the open call closes.
